Privacy Policy for LucidoApp
Last Updated: January 16, 2026
At LucidoApp (“we”, “us”, or “our”), accessible from https://lucidoapp.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by LucidoApp and how we use it.
1. Zero-Data Collection Policy (Serverless Architecture)
LucidoApp is designed with a “Privacy-First” architecture. We do not transmit, store, or process your personal data on external servers.
All data you input into the extension (including your quit date, financial savings data, and uploaded images) is stored strictly on your local device using Google Chrome’s chrome.storage API.
2. Information We Store Locally
To provide the core functionality of the extension, the following data is stored locally within your browser:
- Recovery Statistics: Your “Quit Date” and gambling-free streak counter.
- Financial Data: The “Average Daily Loss” amount you input to calculate money saved.
- Personal Anchors: Images you upload (e.g., photos of loved ones) are converted to text strings (Base64) and stored locally to be shown during blocking interventions.
- Settings: Your customization preferences for the extension.
3. Permissions and Usage
To function as a gambling blocker, LucidoApp requires specific browser permissions. Here is how we use them:
declarativeNetRequest&Host Permissions: We use these permissions to detect if you are navigating to a known gambling website. This checks the URL against a local blocklist. We do not track, store, or sell your browsing history. The URL checking happens instantaneously on your device.storage: Used to save your settings and statistics mentioned in Section 2.
4. Third-Party Services
LucidoApp does not use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics, Mixpanel) or advertising networks inside the extension. Your usage data never leaves your browser.
5. Data Security
Since your data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by the security protocols of your browser (Google Chrome) and your operating system. We (the developers) have no technical way to access your data remotely.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: Your data remains on your device for as long as you have the extension installed.
- Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time by simply uninstalling the LucidoApp extension from your browser. This action immediately wipes all locally stored information associated with the extension.
7. Children’s Information
LucidoApp does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
8. Consent
By using our extension, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
